The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) made it known to several Nigerians that it has granted the approval for disconnection of the Grandmasters of data – Globacom from the telecommunication company that boosts of being everywhere you go – MTN.
What does this mean?
According to the public notice disclosed by the NCC signed by the Director of, the Public Affairs Department, Reuben Muoka.
The notice reads,
“Globacom was notified of the application made by MTN and was given the opportunity to comment and state its case.
The commission having examined the application and circumstances surrounding the indebtedness, determined that Globacom will no longer be able to make calls to MTN but will be able to receive calls.”
Part of the information gotten from the notice is that “The partial disconnection, however, will allow in-bound calls to Globacom network.” as revealed above.
In summary,
Globacom subscribers may be unable to make calls to MTN lines soon, due to the non-settlement of interconnect charges by the Grandmasters of data – Globacom.
